For the past few months, Htorihpes had been studying the actions of the Spirits of Evil; a group of god-like entities that seek to cover all of Creation in their dark influence. Before he was killed by the Spirits, he entrusted Mavrick the Traveler to find a group of champions to fight against the Spirits before they destroy all that is good. The Spirits are about to put the final parts of their plan into action and the heroes have to seek out a way to stop them for good. [Thanks to MavrickIndigo for the description.] Started by Hwoarang on Monday, May 19, 2003, and finished on Sunday, July 20, 2003, at the late RP boards of VG Music, this RP is the first in the Destiny Dreams saga.

Destiny Dreams... good times, good times. I remember it well because I would constantly reference it in every RP I was in because I had the rule that "everything I write is connected to each other in some way". Anyway, Destiny Dreams was the first of the Numbered Destiny Dreams RPs I did with this community (the continuity can go back further to Battle for the Video Game Universe, my first RP). As the beginning of the series, it holds major significance for setting up many of the concepts in my future RPs, but as an RP itself I think the plot was kind of lacking as I didn't really have much control over what happened now that I think about it. But it was the constant plot twist that my fellow roleplayers provided that made this special as well as the crossover of the characters in Destiny Dreams going to "Fantasy Snap," which I haven't read entirely, regrettably. This RP is a perfect example of a time in this community I have cherished and a time I hope to replicate sometime as I loved the crossover concept so much I used it in many of my RPs over the years. Well... I can't say much about this RP except that when I was still new at RPing. I also jumped in at practically the last minute. However, I can say that it was a learning experience for me. I'm by no means saying the RP sucked; it was me that sucked. Overall the RP was the among best in the series. Elec was the sixth person to join the role-play. She wrote 9.66% of the story with thirty-six posts. |
