Thalzon

Mystical Clock was the very first truly serious RP I participated in. From the get-go I knew it would be a great experience, because it was open-ended enough for me to throw in what I liked and yet still conform to the plots at hand. There were a few moments that were a bit out-of-place or weird (like the whole part that Ricky was forced to write off as a "dream") but it was a wholly exciting story.

Thalzon was the sixth person to join Mystical Clock. He wrote 29.48% of the story, doing so in sixty-eight posts. He now goes by the username Corey.

Ricky

This was my third attempt at making an RP, and it was my first success. Looking back on it, I feel that this RP was one of the more entertaining and fun RPs I've been in. Everything, somehow, just seemed to work. The variety of characters, the subplots, even the final boss that Thalzon came up with... it just worked. Sure, there were some minor problems here and there, and one kinda major one when I had planned to have an event occur at the Valley of the Dwarves and we left before I could do it (which was then followed by some strange morphing of three of our characters), but that was fixed by me making it a "dream sequence" (which was simple, since we had recently knocked everyone unconscious). Mystical Clock was originally a Legend of Zelda fan-story I had been working on, and the first post makes this painfully obvious, but with everyone's input, the story changed immensely and I ended up creating a brand new series out of it, and even connected this story to two otherwise-unrelated RPs. I am very happy with how Mystical Clock turned out.

Ricky started the RP, and was, as such, the first person to join. He wrote 22.63% of the story, doing so in fifty-six posts.

Despite some slight inconsistencies and conflicting of ideas, as well as some minor arguments, I feel things went pretty smoothly. All in all, I really enjoyed it.

Elec was the fourth person to join the RP. She wrote 8.88% of the story, doing so in seventy-seven posts.

Horn

Well, with the neatly thought-through plot, the wide variation of participants and the gooooodly developed characters (judge for yourselves if it says "goodly" or "godly"), this RP has become among the most popular, with even a game devoted to it, so of course it's an honor to have participated...even if I dropped off, which you probably knew I did. ^^ But it was thrilling, and it contained everything a good RP needs, so it's a full-pointer.

Horn was the fifth person to join Mystical Clock. He wrote 7.61% of the story, doing so in twenty-one posts.

I must clarify I did not read the whole thing. I did read, however, all of the very detailed summary Ricky wrote for Chibi Acelie's game, and I also read the original RP compilation starting from the final battle (that is the fight involving Mythos, Raem, and the heroes) all the way to the end. Oh, and the first few posts as well.
That said, I must say it was an interesting adventure, somewhat reminiscent of Majora's Mask, what with the gumball... eh, I mean the meteor that's been summoned to destroy all. As a matter of fact, the Zelda influence was HEAVY in the first post, thankfully that was not the case in the rest of the RP.
I really liked the final battle (the Raem, Mythos one). The Scillios battle, however, I found myself skimming over. The tie-ins to other RPs at the end of the story was a cool touch. Of course, I hereby accuse Thalzon of blatantly hijacking Ricky's RP! As the stats above show, he was the number one contributor!
(Here was a stupid remark about me not liking Skyre because of his jester outfit. It was meant to be a stupid comment not to be taken seriously. I mean, how can you take seriously someone who has read just the summary, and only a fourth of the real story?)
Geez, I forgot about this one thing: The Skyre/Eowyn thing reminded me a lot of the famous Luke/Leia plot twist, even though I know it was just a coincidence. Oh, right. I almost forgot about this as well: Octorockses??? How do you defeat them? Do you L-target their eyes and shoot the boomerang repeatedly till they die? Sorry, I just couldn't resist.

IT FRIGGIN' ROCKS! It is awesome, the characters are cool, the storyline is good, the RP as a whole is like... awesome. December 13, 2005

This RP here is held as a pinnacle of the RP Boards fer a reason, folks. An awesome ensemble cast, great lead characters, thrilling battles, emotional moments, and one of the most memorable final battles anywhere. My favorite characters are the crass pirate Yuri, and the man who would be king, Skyre Grimm. Read it, enjoy it, then go read Decennial Battles and Arden's Blessing to see the continued adventures! Wizard

A decent enough story, with a good cast... However, several things irked me a bit.

    - A number of characters, in my opinion, were overpowered. Here's my list:
*Micheal: Peerless fighter, with superb fighting ability, strong mind... and ray beams?
*Miko: Everyone's favorite little kid, with a overly expansive list of abilities that makes you wonder if it's a fair fight with her on the field.
*Skyre: Eyes dried out? There's a Visine for that. Need to stay undetected? There's a Visine for that! Need a steed? There's a Visine for that too!
*Zander: The man has beads for everything. Heck, some of them probably work as flotation devices! However, I really liked Zander despite this.

    - Though not a bad thing, it seemed mind boggling that the wide array of future interferences and Guardians combined to create something fluid. The appearance of soldiers from the future surprised me, and negative supernatural creatures were unexpected.
With those things being said, my favorite characters were Lode and Zander (and maybe Dan). The story was fine, but I seriously hope there was some kind of discussion about where the heck they were going. Things were changing really fast. As for being a fairly well written and entertaining story, . For confusing me and completely changing my perspective on this series, . For not mentioning steam rollers, yummy.

Trauma Advocate

Mystical Clock was a very epic roleplay, and it's easy to see why it was so much fun to do. There were a number of complaints I had about it, though. Throughout the roleplay, it seemed like a good portion of the posts were intended solely to do away with what the previous poster was trying to do, especially the scenes with the dragons and later the whole character fusion nonsense. Some of the characters also seemed to be developing nicely until something stupid would get in the way... for instance, Dan had great potential, but became oversimplified when the other party members casually informed him that the voices in his head weren't real. This seemed to "cure" him of his schizophrenia until catfriedrice took control of his character back.
And of course, many characters were insanely overpowered, others were underdeveloped, and some more things along that line, but they were no big deal. My biggest problem was how much resurrecting went on in this RP. Several party members fell again and again in combat, only to be brought back by tears, inexplicable heavenly light, and of course time travel. The wide and colorful cast of villains fell prey to it as well; despite having at least thirty good villains, very few actually stayed dead the first time. By the end of the roleplay, I was numb to any more death.
Final words: Great cast, great villain, great story, but naturally impeded by the fact that it was an roleplay. I bet it was a blast to everyone involved.
